TLDR

The Solopreneur Grind is about the honest journey of building something on your own. On my episode with Josh Schachnow, we got into my winding path: 13 years running a Google Ads agency, hitting near-burnout, and rebuilding into the coaching work I do now.

Figuring out your path takes time. The trick is to keep working while you figure it out, and to work on the things that count.

The path is rarely straight

I didn't map out this career. I built an agency, ran it hard for over a decade, and nearly burned out before I rebuilt around pricing, process, and client fit. What looks like a plan in hindsight was a lot of trial, error, and course-correcting.

If you're a solopreneur still figuring out your direction, that's normal. You don't find the path by thinking about it. You find it by working, paying attention to what fits, and adjusting.

Work on the things that move you forward

Hard work is table stakes. Working on the right things is what separates a grind from progress that lasts. For a solo business, that usually comes down to three levers: a simple offer, a price you believe in, and clients who fit.

Simplify your offer to one clear outcome. Charge for the problem you solve, not the hours you spend. And take responsibility for moving good-fit clients forward instead of chasing everyone. For more on filling that pipeline, here's a piece on marketing a live learning cohort.
