Growing Online Influence by Making Clients Part of the Story
TLDR
- Influence compounds through consistent, useful content, not one viral moment.
- Bring clients into your marketing so your proof does the talking for you.
I joined Sandy Fowler on The Future of Influence to talk about growing your presence online. We covered making your clients part of the marketing journey and why content is the engine behind all of it.
Make your clients part of the story
The most convincing marketing is not you talking about yourself. It is your clients showing what changed. Bring them into the journey, capture the before and after, and let their words carry the proof. It is more believable than any claim you could make, and it makes the client feel like part of what you are building.
Influence compounds through content
Influence rarely comes from one big moment. It comes from showing up consistently with something useful until people associate your name with a topic. Pick the topic you want to be known for, publish on it more often than feels comfortable, and give it time. The compounding is slow at first and then hard to ignore.

The Future of Influence, hosted by Sandy Fowler, explores how experts and entrepreneurs build genuine influence online through content, relationships, and consistency.
