Essential Strategies for Business Success
▶TLDR
- Most owners undercharge by about half. Fixing pricing is the fastest way to a healthier business.
- Delegation is how you stop being the bottleneck. Record it, bucket it, hire against the worst bucket.
- Sales gets easier when you vet for fit and focus on the client feeling understood.
Step It Up Entrepreneur, hosted by Tomas Keenan, is about building a lifestyle, not just a business. That framing fit the conversation well, because the strategies that matter most are the ones that give you back your time and money.
We talked through the handful of moves that move the needle for a growing business: pricing, delegation, and a saner way to sell.
Fix your pricing first
If I could only change one thing for most owners, it would be their pricing. The pattern is almost always the same. They undercharge by about half and do thirty percent more work than they quoted. That is a recipe for grinding hard and staying broke.
Belief comes before price. Map the client's pain over one, three, six, and twelve months, and you start to see what solving it is worth. A premium problem can carry a premium price.
Delegate so you stop being the bottleneck
A lifestyle business only works if it does not need you for everything. I record Looms for repeat tasks, bucket the work, and hire against the most painful bucket first. There is no unicorn assistant who does it all, so stop looking for one.
This is what lets you scale without drowning. I went deeper on the systems side on the InnovaBuzz podcast and the Business Mastermind Podcast.
Sell in a way that does not feel gross
Sales gets easier when you vet for fit up front. If someone is not a good match, moving them forward helps nobody. But when they are a fit, moving them forward is your responsibility. People buy when they feel understood, so spend the call understanding them, not pitching at them.
