Using Short Video to Build Trust Fast
▶TLDR
- A short personalized video builds trust before you ever get on a call.
- A simple six-part script keeps it warm and human.
I joined Tanya Fox on Fox Talks Business. Her show helps women entrepreneurs grow with clarity, better money habits, and connection. We talked about video connections, which is my go-to way to reach people without feeling pushy. Here is how I use it.
Why video works at the first touch
Most first messages are cold text that could have gone to anyone. A short personalized video is different. The person sees your face, hears your voice, and knows you did your homework. That builds trust fast, before a single call. I keep mine short, usually 40 seconds to a minute and twenty. I record it as a native social video so it feels like a note from a person, not an ad.
A simple script you can copy
I use six small parts. Open friendly. Disarm the moment so it does not feel like a pitch. Show one thing you noticed about them, so they know it is not a template. Give a one-line offer. Add one reason to say yes. Then ask, do not tell. That is it. It works because it puts the other person first, and people move forward when they feel understood. If you want to see how this fits into getting clients without ads, I covered it on the Hailey Rowe podcast and the InnovaBuzz podcast.
